Matt Mills finally arrives

Doncaster have finally completed a club record £300,000 signing of 22 year old Manchester City defender Matt Mills on a three year contract.
Mills enjoyed two very succesful loan periods at Doncaster last season and was a pivitol part in helping Rovers secure promotion at Wembley in the play offs.
Mills had agreed to join Rovers just after the Wembley Final in May but the transfer was then put on hold when Mark Hughes arrived at Manchester City. He wanted to assess all his players before allowing any of them to leave the club.
Rumours were also circulating that fellow promotion side Swansea City were also keen to acquire his services.
'Its been quite a long process. After the Final was over, there wasn't really a decision to make on my part' Confessed Mills
'I always wanted to come here and it was just a matter of Manchester City allowing me to'
Mills soon became a firm favourite with the fans and looked a very composed and assured player for someone so young.
Mills started his career at Southampton, he also enjoyed a loan spell at Bournemouth under Sean O'Driscoll before joining Manchester City.
Mills made 41 appearances for Doncaster last season scoring 3 goals in two seperate loan spells after suffering an injury just before Christmas.
Mills signature follows quick on the heels of another central defender Jos Van Nieuwstatd.
Mills will wear the number 5 shirt.
