Quintet sign new contracts

In the last 24 hours Doncaster have secured the long term contract of four of their current squad.
Defender James O'Connor has extended his contract until 2011. 23 year old O'Connor was one of the most outstanding players in the run to promotion last season.

Midfielder James Coppinger has also extended his contract until 2011. 27 year old Coppinger was a target for quite a few clubs last season. He also grabbed the headlines in May when hitting a sublime hat trick in the Play off semi final against Southend.

Midfielder Brian Stock has also extended his current contract until 2011. 26 year old Stock was team captain for the latter part of last season, his improved play in the second half of last season was noticed by the club and fans alike.

Striker Lewis Guy has extended his contract until 2010. 22 year old Guy is usually used as a bit part player. His improved performances last season helped quiten sections of the fans who were unimpressed by his performances the previous season.

All these deals follow quick on the heels of Rovers star midfielder Richie Wellens extending his contract until 2011.
All these players are still relatively young and look good long term investments for the club.
