DRFC - Rovers send Nelly out on loan again

Craig Nelthorpe has joined Conference north side Gateshead in a three month loan period.

The 21 year old left sided player has had several loan spells in the last few seasons. He joined Gateshead for a first time during the 2006/07 season where he scored eight goals in nineteen appearances.
He`s also had spells at Kidderminster, Halifax and helped Darlington to last seasons play offs in League two.

He`s actually signed a contract extension with the Rovers this summer but seems unable to break into the Rovers first team. In his limited starts at the club he`s shown a good ability on the ball and is happy to take on players and produce a quality ball.

I am sure Gateshead fans will be happy to see him rejoin the club who currently lie second in their division.

Its a shame he cannot break into the side. I have really liked what I have seen of him.
