DRFC - Birmingham City v Doncaster Rovers preview

Rovers make their first league trip to promotion favourites Birmingham City since 1955 this Saturday, hoping to carry on with the form they were producing before the international break.

Form
Before the international break Rovers had won their previous game against Coventry City 1-0 at the Keepmoat.
Birmingham City drew their last game in the League 1-1 at Norwich City.

This is Rovers second trip to a team relegated from the Premiership last season and will be hoping to produce a similar performance to the one that saw them win 1-0 at Derby County on the opening day.
In their only other away fixture so far we lost 2-0 at QPR.

Birmingham`s home form so far has been 100% with wins against Sheffield United 1-0 and Barnsley 2-0.

Team news

Doncaster
Rovers have no injury worries from the side that beat Coventry last time out.
They welcome back Jason Price who scored a hat trick in a midweek friendly against Darlington. Also pushing for a start will be Darren Byfield who came on as a late sub in the Coventry game and scored a goal in a friendly win against Leeds United during the international break.

Birmingham
The Blues hope to have back Cameron Jerome and Mehdi Nafti who are both returning from injury.
Striker Garry O`Connor also returned to training this week after a groin injury.
The main doubt for Birmingham is keeper Colin Doyle who has suffered a reaction to the knee surgery that he had during the summer.

History

Rovers have been on the wrong end of some hammerings from their hosts tomorrow including a record defeat against the then Small Heath 12-0 in 1903.
Rovers overall record at St Andrews reads, played 9, Lost 6, won 2 and drawn 1.
