Doncaster Rovers look likely to be without striker Gareth Taylor for a couple of weeks after suffering a hamstring injury in the defeat against Charlton Athletic.
Taylor who has started the season well without scoring will now have to miss the Bristol City game away on Saturday. It will be touch and go as to whether he will be fit to return for the following Saturday`s home game against Southampton.
Speaking on Rovers world Taylor said "There`s not a prognosis as of yet and it`s a difficult one"
Gareth Taylor can never remember having suffered with a hamstring injury during his long career so he is not sure quite what to expect from the injury.
He continued "I felt something go in the back of my leg when I was trying to get away from their left back"
He spoke with the physio after the game and he confirmed that Taylor will probably be out for two weeks.
Rovers now have plenty of alternatives with the return to fitness of both Darren Byfield and Jason Price in recent weeks. They both are probably still short of full match fitness to last the full ninety minutes.
Paul Heffernan who has been Rovers main striker over the last few seasons also made a short appearance from the substitute`s bench against Charlton.
Also young striker Tomi Ameobi joined from Leeds United during the summer but has yet to figure so far this season.
Rovers will want to improve on their goal scoring record this season that has so far seen them only return a total of three goals from seven games in all competitions.
