'If It's Football, It's Vital'

DRFC - O'Driscoll's reaction after weekend defeat

Sean O`Driscoll was pretty despondent after Rovers weekend defeat against local neighbours Barnsley.

After playing the better football for fifty minutes and leading 1-0 Rovers game fell apart after the dismissal of Barnsley defender Darren Moore.

Rovers conceded within five minutes of Moore`s dismissal and O`Driscoll speaking on Rovers World said "We conceded a goal from a set play, which has been our Achilles heel so far this season. It doesn`t matter if you are playing nine men or ten men, if somebody at a set play loses their marker, which obviously happened you will concede"

Its Rovers sixth straight loss, a result which has now seen them slip to second from bottom of the table.

What`s more annoying is the fact that Doncaster have dominated a lot of these games and come away empty handed, something which the boss was quick to mention again after Saturday`s defeat when he said "After playing so well against a team who dominated their last game against Ipswich, we were bang on and doing well. We were creating chances, we scored a goal and then the wheels came off"

Rovers now have a blank weekend before their next game on Saturday 18th October at home against Blackpool. Hopefully the team will have plenty of shooting practice in this time!
