DRFC - Doncaster are interested in Windass

According to today`s Daily Star Doncaster Rovers are going to step up their bid to sign Hull City`s veteran striker Dean Windass.

The 39 year old was a pivotal part of Hull City`s promotion to the Premiership last season and scored the winning goal in the Play Off final at Wembley.

So far this season he`s found breaking into the Hull`s starting line up hard to find and has recently been linked with Leeds United.

The Main stumbling block could be Dean Windass`s wage demands.

With Rovers so far only scoring seven league goals and being at the foot of the Championship table a striker is a must and another player who has been linked with a loan move to the club is experienced striker Ade Akinbiyi.

I wouldn't mind Windass or Akinbiyi at the moment, we desperately need someone.

I think the high wages for a month or two would be worth it if we could pull ourselves out of the relegation zone.
