'If It's Football, It's Vital'

DRFC - News from the treatment table

Rovers are hoping to have three key players back for the weekend clash at South Yorkshire rivals Sheffield Wednesday.

Influential midfielder Richie Wellens has missed the last five games with a groin injury but he`s hopeful to be back in time for the game at Hillsborough.

Also hoping to be back are defenders Adam Lockwood (back) and James Chambers (shin).

Lockwood is stepping up his training after missing the last four games, club physio Jon Dickens speaking in the Yorkshire Evening Post said 'Another week should see him right so I wouldn't rule him out of the Wednesday game either.'

Chambers came off early in both the Reading and Norwich City games with his shin injury and could also be pushing for a start on Saturday.

Also getting very close to a return to the first team is versatile player Sean Mcdaid who dislocated his knee last April. He`s stepped up his training in the last few weeks and the club are hopeful that he can play in a behind closed doors friendly this week.

Doncaster have found life hard so far in their first season in the Championship in fifty years and are currently bottom of the table, to make matters worse the club have recently started to suffer injuries to quite a few key players.

Even if we have a really good month it might not be enough to get us out of the relegation zone.
