Sean O`Driscoll says he`s still desperately trying to bring in a striker before the transfer window for loan players closes on Thursday.
Speaking on the official website O`Driscoll said "I`m talking to about twenty two strikers!"
The boss say`s he`s been in contact with a number of clubs about the availability of the strikers he would like to bring into the club but most of them are out of Rovers tight wage budget.
With the Rovers only scoring eight goals in twenty League games but managing to out play their opponents for long periods in nearly all these games it`s frustrating for all involved with Rovers as the club lie second bottom of the Championship.
We actually have one of the best defensive records in the lower half of the division and have only conceded two goals in the last five games. If we can bring in a striker who could possibly score us a few goals we could quickly move away from the relegation zone.
He doesn`t even have to be prolific! If we had a striker who could have scored us five or six goals so far this season that could have quite easily have heralded us an extra ten points and comfortably sat in mid table.
We are a semi decent striker away from having a very competitive side in this division so please bring us in the player we need before the transfer window closes on Thursday.
Players that have already been linked with Doncaster are Dean Windass, Ade Akinbiyi, Jamie Cureton and Billy Sharp.
