'If It's Football, It's Vital'

DRFC - Doncaster v Burnley officials

Trevor Kettle will be the man in charge of Sunday`s Championship clash between Doncaster Rovers v Burnley at The Keepmoat.

Mr Kettle so far this season has refereed 17 games; in those 17 games that he`s refereed he`s shown 40 yellow cards and 2 reds.

His last game in charge was the league one clash between Scunthorpe and Hartlepool on Boxing Day.

Last season he refereed only 36 games showing 145 yellow cards and 6 reds.

The last time he was in charge of a Doncaster Rovers game last season when they beat Hartlepool United 2-0 at home.
In fact Kettle as always had a bad reputation with Rovers fans but they have won all six of their games when he`s been in charge since we came back into the football league in 2003.

The last time he was in charge of a Burnley game was also last season when they drew 1-1 at home.

Referee: Mr T. Kettle (Berkshire)
Assistants: D.R Street & P. I Thompson
Fourth official: W. E Gunnill

I was shocked to read we had won all six of our games with Kettle in charge.

Clarets will want to put the Boxing Day Blues behind them after the disaster that was Barnsley. Providing we play like we have for most of the last three months, we will be too strong for Donny Rovers in my opinion. The only hope for Donny will be to get us down to ten men again or hope we start playing like plonkers a la Barnsley Any Donny fans are welcome to come and debate the up&coming game this Sunday with Clarets fans in our Matchday Mayhem forum on Vital Burnley. Here is a direct cut&paste link to the thread: http://www.burnley.vitalfootball.co.uk/forum/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=2820&posts=1&mid=11778#M11778 Look forward to seeing you over there for a bit of friendly banter. I see Spicer is now a first team regular? How's he doing? Come and tell us on VB

Kettle was his usual useless self but we have now won all seven games he's taken charge of!
