DRFC - O'Driscoll delighted with win

Rovers boss Sean O`Driscoll was understandably delighted after Rovers crushing win over Nottingham Forest on Boxing Day.

In a crucial six pointer at the foot of the table Rovers were finally rewarded for all their good play this season with the goals to match.

Speaking on Rovers World O`Driscoll said "It was a big game and we didn`t get fazed by it, I thought our general play was great".

The win took Rovers onto level points with Forest who sacked their manager Colin Calderwood after the game and they are now only one point behind Southampton and out of the relegation zone.

It was the first time this season that Rovers have scored more than one goal in a game and striker Paul Heffernan scored his third in the last three games, Sean was quick to praise Heffernan when he said "It`s nice to have a striker like Paul Heffernan find his goal scoring touch and hopefully that continues".

Rovers now entertain Burnley on Sunday with the hope that even a draw could see them climb above Southampton.

It certainly continued into the Burnley game, we have a big January with both Southampton and Norwich on the agenda.
