DRFC - Rovers duo make team of the week

Doncaster duo Brian Stock and Paul Heffernan have been included in the latest Championship team of the week for their performances over the Christmas period.

Stock continues to impress in the Rovers midfield and scored the crucial second goal with a retaken spot kick against Burnley beating the keeper with both attempts.

Wigan Athletic and West Brom are currently being linked with Stock with the clubs believed to be lining up a 1.5 million pound offer.

Paul Heffernan has finally come to the rescue for Rovers in the goal scoring department since getting a run of a couple of games in the side, he scored Rovers goal at Crystal Palace and followed this up with two goals in the crucial relegation clash at Nottingham Forest on Boxing Day.

The team of the week comprises of the eleven top performing players and is picked by the press Association after the weekends games.
