DRFC - Windass to leave Hull

Dean Windass has been told he can leave Hull City on loan and this could well alert Doncaster Rovers once again who tried to sign the veteran striker during November.

Speaking on his own blog Windass said 'It's not true I've been released but assistant manager Brian Horton called me and told me the club were accepting offers to take me on loan. That tells you all you need to know about my future here.'

A number of clubs were linked with the 39 year old back then along with Rovers including Leeds United and Grimsby Town. So far Hartlepool United is the only club to show an interest this time around, Windass wants to wait to see if anymore offers are made before committing himself to a club.

I would sooner take Windass on loan for the rest of the season than spend a lot of money on Hughes.

How do you think he would go fitness-wise if he had to play week in week out?
temaze10
I think he would only last about 60 minutes anyway, that's what he was doing at Hull towards the end of last season.

Windass has joined Oldham, could that mean we will be getting Lee Hughes?
