DRFC - Brooker hoping to clinch Rovers deal

Steve Brooker has returned to Doncaster Rovers hoping to earn a contract with the Championship side if he can prove his fitness before the transfer window closes.

The 27 year old originally joined Doncaster in November and scored within ten minutes of his debut when he came on as a substitute against Watford.
He tore his calf muscle the following week in training and returned to his parent club Bristol City.

His original loan deal ran out last week but he`s hoping to prove his fitness in the next two weeks.

Rovers are also reported to be chasing striker Lee Hughes from Oldham Athletic but are not willing to pay the £400,000 asking price whilst Dean Windass has been told he can leave Hull City on loan for the rest of the season and that might re ignite Doncaster`s interest in the veteran striker once again.

If he can stay fit he would be a great acquisition but I do worry about the amount of injuries he's suffered in the last few seasons.
