DRFC- Pitch in good condition

Doncaster are confident that Saturday`s game with Bristol City will beat the big freeze with the pitch in excellent condition according to Rovers officials.

The pitch has had large covers on it all week and rain in temperatures rose in midweek.

The pitch was in good condition Friday lunch time and with temperatures expected to plummet to -3 degrees overnight the covers were put back over the pitch to protect it.

The covers that are being used are protective for temperatures -4 degrees and below.

Rovers will want to continue their good Christmas form and a win could take them outside the bottom three for the first time since the end of September.

Rovers fixture last weekend at Cheltenham in the FA Cup was postponed due to a frozen pitch and their league One fixture at home with Millwall this weekend was called off Friday lunchtime.

Temperatures are however are expected to rise over the weekend so hopefully the re arranged cup tie on Tuesday night should be ok.

Lets hope they've covered it all this season, not like when we played Leeds last year!

Or well so much for the covers!
