DRFC - Possible ticket chaos!

DRFC - Possible ticket chaos!

With Rovers drawing their FA Cup third round tie at Cheltenham on Tuesday night it could now cause Rovers a logistical nightmare with ticket sales for the fourth round tie with Aston Villa if they were to progress.

The replay is to be played next Tuesday (20th January) and with there being horse racing at Doncaster on the Saturday (24th) the club will have to play the game on either the Friday night or Sunday afternoon, with Friday night the usual favourite.

This will give the club just over 48 hours to sell tickets for what will surely be a sell out against high flying Villa, with season ticket holders and then members taking priority it will be a logistical nightmare for the ticket office who are not the most organised when they have plenty of time to arrange ticket sales let alone a sell out in 48 hours!!

It will leave a lot of exiles like me probably only the day of the game to purchase a ticket and then probably have to stand in a queue for three hours to collect it prior to kick off. Even if it was played on the Sunday it would still be the same with the club not having time to send tickets out.

I suppose we need to secure our passage into round four first before worrying about how this will be organised but I am already picturing myself banging my head against a brick wall trying to secure a ticket for the fourth round tie!
