O'Driscoll overlooked for manager of the month

O'Driscoll overlooked for manager of the month

Doncaster Rovers manager Sean O`Driscoll has somehow managed to be overlooked in the January nominations for manager of the month.

Rovers who are currently unbeaten in eight games since Christmas won three games and drew three games in January which have seen the side climb out of the relegation zone.

Most impressive results of the month include a 2-1 victory at Southampton and holding Premiership high flyers Aston Villa to a 0-0 draw in the FA Cup.

Also overlooked by Chris Kamara and his fellow panel of judges were Nottingham Forest who had won 4, drawn 1 and lost 1 of their games in January.

Up for the award are,
Dave Jones - Cardiff City, played 5, won 3 and drawn 2

Jim Magilton - Ipswich Town, played 4, won 2 and drew 2

Paulo Sousa - QPR, played 4, won 2 and drew 2

Roberto Martinez - Swansea City, played 6, won 5 and drawn 1

Some may see it has a blessing in disguise as the club that usually win the award then go on a bad run of form.

The last time he won it in January 2007 we was awful after that so I am glad he's been overlooked.
