DRFC -Stock praises squad

Rovers captain Brian Stock has been talking about the togetherness of the Rovers squad and believes it was a huge factor in their turn around in the second half of the season.

Speaking on the official website about the squad Stock said 'Even when results weren't going our way the team stuck together. Everybody had the right attitude and that showed in some of our performances."
Stock who took over the captain`s armband in the run in to Rovers League One Play off success last season has been an integral part of the squad and was Rovers leading goalscorer till December when the strikers finally found their shooting boots.

The midfielder was also quick to praise boss Sean O`Driscoll when he said 'He prepares the team well for every game and I think that he's done a great job to steer us to safety."

Rovers will be hoping to hold of the advances of quite a few Premiership clubs over the summer, Wigan and West Brom have been reported to be interested in the services of the 27 year old during this season.

I think he's got a point, quite a few players could have easily hidden when things weren't going our way. I must admit the introduction of Heffernan, Chambers, Woods and Spicer around November and December made a huge difference.
