DRFC - Key dates for next season

With the season only just finished the key dates for next season have already been announced.


The fixture lists for 2009/10 will be issued on June 17th at 10am.

The first day of the season will be August 8th
The Carling Cup first round ties will take place week commencing 10th August.
There will be two games over Christmas with games taking place on Boxing Day and two days later on the 28th.

Their will be no League fixtures again next season on New Years Day with FA Cup 3rd Round ties taking place on 2nd January.

The season will finish differently next season with the World Cup in South Africa taking place.

The final day of the Championship will be on Saturday May 2nd although they usually switch this to the Sunday with the final games for League One and Two on Saturday 9th.

The Play off finals will be split next season with the Championship final being on Saturday 22nd May, League Two on Saturday 29th May and the League One final on Sunday 30th May.

I can't wait for the fixtures coming out, it gets you thinking about next season in mid June, a few weeks later they start training and pre season and before you know it we are off again.
