Rovers players to keep fit during the summer

Doncaster Rovers players are going to report back to training for a week during their summer Holiday`s.

The players who played their last game of the season At Wolverhampton Wanderers on May 3rd are to report back for the training in the first week of June to ensure they are following a programme set by Sports science, fitness and conditioner Ross Burbeary.

The players will then go back to their summer breaks until they return back for pre season training in early July.

Rovers have so far announced two pre season friendlies at Rotherham on July 25th at the Don Valley Stadium and Wolverhampton Wanderers in a testimonial for Mickey Walker at the Keepmoat on August 1st.

It seems a long time ago now when the players used to come back for training a stone overweight after over doing it during the summer months.

There was a certain Miller, last season, dazza, came back overweight and was sent out on loan for a while to lose it! He's skipper now!
