DRFC - Windass should have joined Rovers!

Hull City manager Phil Brown feels that veteran striker Dean Windass was foolish not to join Doncaster Rovers last season.

Rovers who were having a problem finding the back of the net in the first half of last season tried to bring Windass to the Keepmoat to help resolve the problem.

Windass turned down the offer and chose to join Oldham Athletic in League One where he quickly found himself warming the bench and soon returned to Hull City where he ended the season playing reserve team football.

Speaking on Skysports.com Brown said 'That offer was ideal for him, Doncaster were playing good football, but needed someone on the frontline.
Windass has now been released by Hull City and rumours are that he could be on his way to Darlington to join them in a coaching role.
