DRFC - Players ready for return

Doncaster Rovers players are getting back in shape ready for the start of pre season.

At the end of last season it was almost a conveyor belt to the surgeon`s table with a number of players going under the knife.

Nine Rovers players, Brian Stock, Paul Heffernan, James O`Connor, Adam Lockwood, Steve Brooker, Stuart Elliott, James Coppinger, Matt Mills and Mark Wilson have been in the operating theatre since the turn of the year for a number of various operations.

Sean McDaid who has been a long term injury and has not played since the 2007/08 season is now back and ready to start pre season training in July, a series of injuries have kept him sidelined for over a year.

Only two, Stuart Elliott and Steve Brooker are struggling to be back to report for full pre season training although they are expected to have started their running programmes, so hopefully won`t be far behind the rest.

With the size of the squad it will be great to pick form a full squad at the start of the season. Steve Brooker continues to struggle, could he spend more time on the sidelines than playing?
