DRFC - Treatment table busy ahead of new season!

Doncaster Rovers defender Jos Van Nieuwstadt requires surgery to cure a groin injury and will miss the start of the season.

Jos will have the surgery on Saturday and is expected to be out of action for two weeks.

Rovers physio Jon Dickens speaking on the official website said "He will now have to go in and undergo a repair. He is basically going to be having an hernia repair on Saturday morning and won`t be back in training for a couple of weeks".

Other injury news, midfielder Martin Woods who recently underwent an hernia operation has made a full recovery and could be back to face his former club Rotherham United on Saturday.

James O`Connor was also back in training on Friday has he recovers from abdominal tendonitis.

Rovers are still taking it steady with striker Steve Brooker has he aims to overcome his Achilles tendon problem and he`s due to start running again.

Sean McDaid who is having no luck with injuries looks like being out for another four to five weeks has he try`s to overcome form the surgery on his cartilage.

James Chambers suffered a cut on his on his ankle and he`s currently having it treated, He could also miss the start of the season.

I feel so sorry for McDaid, just when he thinks he's back he has another set back. Worrying amount of injuries already ahead of the new season.
