DRFC Trialist update

DRFC Trialist update

Rovers will once again have a number of trialists taking part during Saturday`s friendly with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Both Byron Webster and Mustapha Dumbaya who played in the midweek friendly win over Grimsby Town are expected to get another chance.

Rovers have however said that they are unlikely to field John Oster, Quentin Fortune or Jason Walker unless there is a chance that they could sign for the club.

All three have impressed so far in the friendlies against Rotherham and Grimsby.

With only one week till the start of the new season and the Wolves game being the last friendly, Rovers boss Sean O`Driscoll will want to play mainly the side that could well turn out at Watford a week later.

Rovers have also said that they could possibly give a trial to an unnamed striker who was spotted in Slovenia last weekend.

Can't understand what we are playing at, a week to go till the season starts and we seem nowhere near ready for the new season. The friendly games have been half made up with trialists and none of them may be here for the first game of the season. Typical Rovers!
