DRFC Stock looking forward to season

Rovers club captain Brian Stock is looking forward to the new season after recovering from his back operation.

Stock missed the final six weeks of last season to have the operation after struggling with the injury for the vast amount of the season, speaking on Radio Sheffield Stock said 'I decided to have the operation when we were more or less safe from relegation and everything has gone to plan.'

The 27 year old will be without his regular central midfield partner Richie Wellens after he moved to Leicester but Stock isn`t too worried, continuing he said 'Richie is a massive loss but we've got players in the squad who can fill that place.
'I'm sure the manager will bring one or two new players, but it's something we're quite comfortable with, considering the amount of ball players we have in the team.'

Fellow midfielder Mark Wilson has enjoyed a good pre season, Rovers have also been taking a look at former Manchester United player Quentin Fortune who has enjoyed a trial period at the club in recent weeks.
