DRFC Mills joins Reading

Matt Mills has signed for fellow Championship side Reading for an undisclosed fee in a three year deal.

Central defender Mills joined Rovers last summer for a club record 300,000 so it`s a huge profit in twelve months for the club.

A number of clubs have been interested in signing the highly rated defender but Reading have come in to beat off all competition.

The 23 year old played a huge part in Rovers promotion from League One in 2007/08 whilst on loan from Premiership side Manchester City and Rovers wasted no time in signing him last summer.

Mills made 45 appearances for the club in the Championship last season helping the side maintain their place in the Championship with a number of outstanding performances.

Just read a Q & A on Readings official website and it looks like he was wanting a move at the end of last season.

Sad to see him go. I believe that SOD will find a very good replacement. Infact do we not already have a replcement in Jos
