DRFC Rovers looking to burst Sven's bubble

Doncaster Rovers will be looking for revenge when they travel to 'big spending` Notts County in tonight`s Carling Cup first round tie.

The two clubs met at the same stage last season when Notts County won 1-0 thanks to a goal in extra time by Myles Weston.

Rovers striker Paul Heffernan who used to play for Notts County will be looking for revenge this evening, but knows it`s probably a harder task than last season. Speaking in the Sheffield Star, Heffernan said 'We didn't put in a good performance and we didn't get a good result on the night, so it would be nice to go down there and put the record straight.
We certainly won't be under-estimating them in view of what's happened down there since we met last season."

County have been taken over this summer and have signed a number of new players including Lee Hughes who was a target for Doncaster Rovers in the January transfer window.

Hughes started the season in fine fashion scoring a hat trick on the opening day against Bradford City.

County have also brought in ex England manager Sven Goran Eriksson as director of football and his assistant Tord Grip.

One familiar face who could line up against Rovers is midfielder Ricky Ravenhill who was part of the Rovers squad that won promotion from the Conference and League Two in successive seasons.

It's always nice to have a little cup run, lets hope we don't suffer the same fate as last season.
