Doncaster entertain Cardiff City on Saturday hoping to record their first league win of the season.

Rovers have suffered two defeats in the last week, their first of the season against Middlesbrough 2-0 and against Spurs 5-1 in the Carling Cup.

Before that Rovers had been unbeaten, drawing their first three league games of the season against Watford, Preston and Coventry and winning in the Carling Cup at Notts County.

Cardiff
The Bluebirds are the early pacesetters in the Championship winning three games against Scunthorpe, Plymouth and Bristol City. The only points they have dropped were in a 1-1 draw at Blackpool.

They secured their place in the third round of the Carling Cup on Wednesday with a 3-1 victory over Bristol Rovers.

History

The two sides have met 13 times at Doncaster with the home side winning 1, Cardiff winning 4 and 8 being draws.

When the two clubs met at the Keepmoat last season it was Rovers first home game in the Championship.
Lewis Guy gave Rovers the lead before former Rovers loanee Ross McCormack equalised in the final minutes.
