DRFC O'Connor nearing comeback

Doncaster Rovers defender James O`Connor is hoping to be back to fitness in time for Rovers next game at Reading on the 12th September.

O`Connor who as been sidelined with a knee injury since the Notts County game cannot wait to get back in action after a frustrating start to the season for him, speaking in the Sheffield Star he said 'Obviously it has been a disappointing start to the season for me and I want to get back playing as soon as possible."

Rovers who have no game this weekend due to international games will be hoping to build on last Saturday`s win over top of the table Cardiff City.

Rovers fans going to Reading will be looking forward to seeing deadline day signing Billy Sharp making his debut, ironically he could possibly be marked by ex Rovers defender Matt Mills who joined the Royals in the summer.
