DRFC Sharp looking forward to season

Billy Sharp is looking forward to spending the season at Rovers after signing just minutes before the transfer deadline closed on Tuesday.

Sharp who has joined from near neighbours and fellow Championship side Sheffield United, Speaking on the official website said, "I am at Doncaster for the season and now I can hopefully get playing and get some goals under my belt".

Rovers fans will be hoping he can find the form he showed whilst spending two years at Scunthorpe United. In his two years with the club, he scored 55 goals in 93 appearances and helped them to the League One title in his second season.

He joined Sheffield United in the summer of 2007 for around 2 million but struggled to find the net as regularly as he did at Scunthorpe scoring 12 goals in just over 60 appearances during his two seasons at the Blades.

The striker has been allocated the number five shirt during his loan at the club.

With him on board, I think SOD can lead you to the playoffs with a little bit of luck. You have a good manager and arguably a better squad than Burnley last year so it can be done. Good Luck.
