DRFC Doncaster v Swansea Preview

DRFC Doncaster v Swansea Preview

Doncaster welcome Welsh side Swansea City to the Keepmoat on Tuesday night.

Form

Doncaster home form

The Rovers are still unbeaten at home this season, they beat the league leaders at the time Cardiff City 2-0 and drew with Preston 1-1 and Coventry 0-0 and Ipswich 3-3.

Swansea away form

The Swans have struggled since the departure of manager Roberto Martinez in the summer, so far on their travels they have won at Coventry 1-0, drawn at Barnsley 0-0 and lost their other two games at Leicester 2-1 and Preston 2-0.

History

The two clubs have met 29 times during their histories at Doncaster with the home side winning 14, Swansea 8 and 7 drawn.

Rovers are still waiting for their first victory over the Swans at their new home, the Keepmoat Stadium after three attempts.

Two games have been drawn and Swansea put on a masterful display when beating Rovers 4-0 in their League One championship winning season of 2007/08.

When the two clubs met last season the first game at Doncaster ended in a disappointing 0-0 draw.
In an ill-tempered return game at the Liberty Stadium, Rovers took an early lead through James Coppinger who finished the game in a local hospital with a head injury.

Swansea hit back to win 3-1 and to make matters worse Richie Wellens was sent off for a second bookable offences and allegations of spitting at an opponent.

Surprise, surprise another draw! It wouldn't have been a bad thing when it was 2 points for a win, but 46 points probably would see you relegated!
