'If It's Football, It's Vital'

DRFC O'Driscoll looking for same commitment

Sean O`Driscoll is hoping his patched up side can continue to grind out results when the welcome Barnsley to the Keepmoat on Saturday.

Rovers have enjoyed a break due to the internationals and it`s given O`Driscoll time to see some of his injured players return to training this week.

After their last game at Sheffield United, Rovers had twelve players receiving treatment for injuries, with five of these long term absentees.

Simon Gillett has also been brought in on a two month loan deal from Southampton.

The Barnsley game is Rovers third local derby in their last four games and O`Driscoll is hoping that the team can continue to compete and earn the club valuable points. Boss O`Driscoll speaking in the Sheffield Star said 'That's one of the first things we had to learn about life in the Championship; that if you don't compete then you will usually come away with nothing because this is a very tough and demanding league.'

Barnsley have seen an upturn in form since the arrival of new manager Mark Robins, winning their last two league games and they are now on eleven points the same as Rovers.

Rovers will be hoping to avenge last season`s results when Barnsley did a very rare double, winning 4-1 at Oakwell and 1-0 at the Keepmoat.
