DRFC Doncaster Rovers v Peterborough Preview

Doncaster Rovers entertain Peterborough United this evening in a clash between two sides currently in the bottom five in the table.

Doncaster

Rovers lost their first home game of the season on Saturday when losing 1-0 to Barnsley.

They have become the draw specialists in the Championship this season drawing eight of their twelve games so far.

Peterborough

The Posh are slowly adapting to life in the Championship after back to back promotions under Darren Ferguson.

They scored an injury time equaliser at Bristol City on Saturday to come away with a point.

They have yet to record a victory on their travels so far this season in the league, drawing three and losing three.

History

The two clubs have met fifteen times at Doncaster before although this evenings clash will be there first ever at the Keepmoat.

Both sides have enjoyed six victories each with three drawn.

The last time the two clubs met was in the 2004/05 season when Rovers enjoyed doing the double with a 2-1 home victory and a 2-0 victory away.

The victory at Belle Vue for Doncaster in 2004 was their first win at home since against Peterborough since 1979 when they won also 2-1. They had lost five and drawn one of the six in between.
