DRFC Doncaster v Blackpool officials

Young referee Michael Oliver will be the man in charge when Doncaster Rovers welcome Blackpool on Saturday.

Oliver was promoted to the national list of referees in 2007 at the tender age of 22 and is quickly following in his dads footsteps Clive and refereeing at Championship level.

So far this season he`s refereed 12 games and has shown 41 yellow cards and 2 reds.

Last season he refereed 41 games, showing 101 yellow cards and 5 reds.

He took charge of two Rovers games last season, the 1-0 defeat at Notts County in the Carling Cup and the 1-1 home draw with Norwich City.

He`s already taken charge of a Blackpool game this season, he was in charge when they defeated Wigan 4-1 in the Carling Cup.

Have lots of mixed reports on his performances. Seems to be getting very quickly fast tracked through the leagues.

Saw him on the TV recently as fourth official, he seemd to just sit there uninterested in the game whilst the managers were having a right go at each other.
