DRFC Shiels earns international call

DRFC Shiels earns international call

Doncaster Rovers midfielder Dean Shiels has earned a recall for the Northern Ireland squad after a string of impressive performances for Rovers recently.

Northern Ireland will play Serbia in a friendly at Windsor Park on November 14th, Shiels will be hoping to add to the eight caps he`s won since making his debut in 2005.

It will be his first involvement with the squad since playing against Hungary last year.

The 24 year old struggled to earn a regular starting place last season after arriving from Hibernian in January.

He`s become a regular starter for Sean O`Driscoll this season and has scored two goals in his last three games.
