'If It's Football, It's Vital'

DRFC O'Kelly backing Dumbuya

Doncaster Rovers assistant manager Richard O`Kelly is backing youngster Mustapha Dumbuya to make an impact if called upon in the first team.

The 21 year old signed on a one year contract in the summer from Potters Bar and as so far made just the one appearance when he came off the bench in the last minute at Sheffield United in October.

Despite just a brief appearance O`Kelly as every confidence in him if he`s thrown in and needed to start for Rovers.
Speaking in the Sheffield Star, O`Kelly said 'He's really looking the part. We'd have absolutely no problem putting him in the side if we were short. He's learning all the time. You are looking at him being an attacking full-back because of the attributes he has got.'
Dumbuya had a spell at Blue Square Conference side Grays Athletic at the end of last season and earned some rave reviews with his pace and skill.

Heard good things about him, could also play in midfield and attack defenders especially as a late substitute.

I still find it funny that when Rovers hadn't made any signings the week before the start of the new season the first one was call DUM-BUY - A! lol
King Billy
