DRFC Rovers interested in Austrian International

Doncaster Rovers boss Sean O`Driscoll is giving a trial to Austrian international striker Roman Kienast.

Kienast made an appearance in a behind closed doors match against Sheffield United earlier in the week and score in a 4-3 victory for Rovers.

The 25 year old is 6`3" and has a good goalscoring record during his career.
He`s currently at Norwegian side Hamarkameratene where he has scored 27 goals in 62 appearances.

Speaking in the Doncaster Free Press, O`Driscoll said "We are just taking a look at him at the moment but he did quite well on Tuesday and work hard apart from scoring".

He`s an Austrian international and has scored one goal in nine appearances.

At under 21 level he scored 7 goals in 24 games for the Austrians.

He ended last year on loan at Swedish side Helsingborgs scoring 3 goals in 12 appearances.

A big lad! Would he suit Rovers style of play though, with his height would we be expected to just start lumping the ball forward?
DonnyEd
Could be a good foil for Sharp, he could knock down quite a few for Sharp to run onto.

Not heard of him, what happened to the other foreign lad Rovers were chasing?
