DRFC Plymouth v Doncaster Preview

Doncaster Rovers travel to Plymouth Argyle on Saturday with both sides currently in the bottom six in the table.

Form

Plymouth
The Pilgrims form has improved recently with them winning three of their last six games including a tremendous 1-0 win at Middlesbrough last week.

Despite their improved form they are currently in the bottom three, but are only three points behind Rovers.

So far this season at home they have won one, drawn two and lost four.

Doncaster
Rovers continue to be the draw specialists in the Championship this season and were involved in an exciting 3-3 draw with Blackpool at the Keepmoat last Saturday.

Last time out away they were unlucky to lose at league leaders Newcastle who scored the winner in the third minute of injury time.

Rovers are still looking for their first league win on their travels this season, so far they have drawn four and lost three.

History

The two clubs have met eighteen times at Home Park and the clubs are deadlocked at six wins apiece.

Rovers enjoyed doing the double over their West Country opposition last season, they won 1-0 at the Keepmoat thanks to a superb goal by Brian Stock.
Rovers win at Home Park in April almost guaranteed survival in the Championship, John Spicer, Paul Heffernan and James Hayter made the long drive home a nice one in an emphatic 3-0 victory.

Would like the same result as last season, I think it could be another draw though!

A win would take Rovers almos upto half way, yet a defeat and they are close to the relegation zone. Once again a very tight Division.

A win would see them pull clear of the bottom but would take a draw.
