DRFC Duo refused permission to play in the cup

Doncaster Rovers will not allow on loan pair Waide Fairhurst or Ben Smith to take part in the FA Cup this weekend as they don`t want them cup tied.

Goalkeeper Smith is currently on an initial one month loan at League Two side Morecambe and they are due to play Carlisle United this weekend in the first round.

Striker Fairhurst recently joined another League Two side Shrewsbury Town on an initial one month loan deal with him scoring on his debut against Aldershot.

Shrewsbury are playing Staines Town at home this weekend.

They've not really been part of O'Driscoll's plans so I can't see why not.

If something happened to Woods or Sullivan Rovers might need to call upon Smith as a back up.

Both look like staying with the clubs longer than a month, can't see the problem?

To me, if they are on loan, then players should be allowed to play in cup games
