DRFC O'Driscoll happy with performance

Sean O`Driscoll was a happy man after gaining three points against in from QPR on Saturday

O`Driscoll though, believes the performance has been just the same in the past couple of games, when the side have taken just one point from Blackpool and Plymouth.

Speaking on the official website O`Driscoll said "That was as good Blackpool and as at Plymouth when we went down to ten men, we were terrific then as well. People judge you on results and that is sometimes unfortunate".

Rovers put in a terrific performance to beat a side that had been free scoring in recent games but only mustered one shot on target throughout the ninety minutes.

As well as the strong defensive performance, the whole side put in a masterful performance in poor conditions, which makes you wonder just how the club are flirting with the relegation zone.

O`Driscoll will be hoping the form of on loan striker Billy Sharp can continue with the hit man scoring his fourth goal in five games.

Dean Shiels is also a man in form and also netted his fourth goal in the last five games.

With two away games now coming up Rovers will be hoping to take this form on the road starting at Nottingham Forest next week.

The fact we kept them down to one attempt on target with only one recognised centre back is very impressive. Billy Sharp is now beginning to refind the form he had at Scunny. I hope Sheff Utd can't call him back from his loan!

I suppose it would depend on whether they had a call back clause put into the loan. With the amount of injuries they have had I would have thought they would have called him back by now if they could.

Its good this season that a few players are finding the net, Dean Shiels seems to have found his feet this season and doing the business.

Fans never remember them playing well when they don't win. I think the big difference this season is the fact Rovers look more dangerous when attacking and are scoring goals.

Well done Donny - Scoring goals appears to be your big difference this season. You have been a good team to watch for a few seasons. Keep it up.
