'If It's Football, It's Vital'

DRFC No new loan signings expected

According to reports in the Sheffield Star, Doncaster Rovers are unlikely to add any new loan players to the squad ahead of the loan window closing on Thursday.

Rovers who have had a number of players out injured at different times all season, are slowly getting the players back fit and the urgency to bring in cover is now less.

Rovers Assistant manager, Richard O`Kelly speaking in the Sheffield Star said 'I would think it is doubtful that we'll be bringing anyone in because we've got all these players back and it gives us more strength in depth.'

Rovers played a behind closed doors friendly against Barnsley on Tuesday and it gave a number of players who are returning from injury much needed time out on the pitch.

Recently injured defenders Adam Lockwood, Byron Webster and Jason Shackell all featured.

O`Kelly continued O'Kelly said: 'They all came through and there would be no problem at all playing any of them at Nottingham Forest on Saturday.'

Also playing were a host of other players who have been confined to the substitute`s bench in recent month`s including Paul Heffernan, John Spicer and Mark Wilson.

I wonder if they would have come out with this if they hadn't got three points on Saturday?

I think you will probably lose more than you bring in when the January window opens.
