DRFC Heffernan joins Oldham on loan

Doncaster Rovers forward Paul Heffernan has joined Oldham Athletic on an initial one month loan deal.

Heffernan joins up with former Rovers boss Dave Penney the manager at Oldham.

Penney was the manager who brought him to Rovers in 2005 from Bristol City for £125,000.

The 27 year old has struggled to cement a regular first team place this season, despite finishing as the clubs top scorer in the Championship last season.

Personally I think he's the best striker we have at Rovers, obviously just doesn't see eye to eye with O'Driscoll.
