DRFC O'Driscoll hopeful over experienced duo

Sean O`Driscoll is hopeful of keeping experience midfielders Quinton Fortune and John Oster when their short term deals finish in January.

Both signed on the eve of the new season on short term deals and brought to the side a wealth of Premiership and international experience.

Speaking on the official website O`Driscoll said "Ideally, we`d like to keep them. Talks are ongoing at the minute. The ideal situation is to keep the squad intact".

Oster has enjoyed a regular spot in the first team and has already made twelve appearances.

Fortune has struggled to command a regular first team place making just the three starts and is currently sidelined through injury.

Both had to sit out three games after getting red cards in the same game at Scunthorpe United earlier in the season.

Oster has made a difference for you, doesn't look like Fortune's done much and I bet he's on a good wage. If things are tight let him go and make sure you get Shackell or Sharp.

I'd be more concerned about keeping Billy Sharp.

Its quite worrying that Rovers could lose Sharp, Shackell, Oster, Fortune and Gillett in January. Then we have players like Stock who are being targetted!
