DRFC Sharp wants to stay

On loan striker Billy Sharp has said he would like to stay at Rovers till the end of the season.

Sharp is on loan with Rovers until the end of the season but with him in great goalscoring form for the Rovers at the moment his parent club Sheffield United could call him back.

Speaking in the Sheffield Star Sharp said 'I'm not sure what the situation is regarding the possibility of Sheffield United recalling me next month, but I'd love to stay here for the rest of the season. I have got a smile on my face and I am playing football week in, week out, again."

The 23 year old is the in form striker in the Championship at the moment, scoring seven goals in his last eight games.

His goals have helped Rovers climb to sixteenth in the table and they have enjoyed back-to-back victories for the first time this season in the last week.

He's mad e ahuge impact at Donny, don't think Sheff Utd play to his strenghts so I can understand why he would want to stay.
King Billy
He's proving he can score goals with Rovers, goalscorers are hard to find and its what Rovers have missed in the past few seasons. Think they should really puch the boat out and tie him to Rovers.

What we missed last season in the first half of the season was a goalscorer. We must try and keep him but with all the goals he's getting I wouldn't be surprised to see someone come in for him.
