DRFC Coventry v Doncaster Rovers Preview

Doncaster Rovers travel to Coventry City on Boxing Day hoping to continue with their fantastic form in December.

Form

Coventry
The Sky Blues had been struggling going ten games without a win before winning their last two games against Peterborough at home and Plymouth away.

These two wins have seen them climb away from the relegation zone and into seventeenth place.

Recent home form: WLDLdDD

Doncaster Rovers
Rovers are one of the form sides n the Championship in December winning four out of four and have yet to concede a goal.

Last time out on their travels they won 2-0 at Derby County last Saturday.

The fine form this month has seen them climb to eleventh in the table just four points outside the play offs.

Recent away form: WWLLLD

History
The two clubs have only ever met six times in their history at Coventry with the home side winning four to Doncaster`s one.

They met for the first time at the Ricoh Arena last season and a 40 yard chip from David Bell won the game 1-0 for the home side.

They have already met this season at the Keepmoat. In a game that Doncaster controlled for long periods, they couldn`t find their way past an inspired Kieran Westwood in the City goal and had to settle for a point in a 0-0 draw.

An amazing stat between the two clubs comes from the 1925/26 season. When they met at Highfield Road in September, Coventry won 4-0. When they met in the return at Belle Vue in January Rovers ran out 8-1 winners.

They probably both wont score and it will be 0-0!!

Somethings got to give in this one, both sides are on winning runs and Rovers haven't conceded a goal for four games.
