DRFC Doncaster v Leicester Match Preview

Doncaster Rovers welcome back former player Richie Wellens to the Keepmoat Stadium on Monday after his summer move to Leicester City.

Rovers lost for the first time in December when a late penalty at Coventry City was enough to beat them.

Rovers dropped to fourteenth in the table after the Boxing Day defeat.

Last time out at home they beat Bristol City 1-0.

They have only suffered one home defeat this season and have won five and drawn five.

Leicester
The Foxes beat Sheffield United on Boxing Day with a 2-1 home.

The win moved them back up to fourth in the table, they are just five points from an automatic spot in their first season back in the Championship after winning League One last season.

They have now won their last two league games, both against South Yorkshire clubs having beaten Sheffield Wednesday in the game before and will be hoping to make it three in a row.

History

It will be the first time the two clubs have met in over fifty years.

The two sides have only ever met at Doncaster on twelve occasions with half of these being draw.

Doncaster have enjoyed the better of the games, winning four to Leicester`s two.

Should be a good game, I really hope Wellens gets a good reception. He was brilliant for us during his two seasons.
