DRFC Elliott departs Rovers

Midfielder Stuart Elliott has had his contract at Doncaster Rovers cancelled by mutual consent.

Elliott has struggled to make an impression in the side since joining in 2008.

The 31 year old has made just nine starts during the spell and was loan out to League Two side Grimsby Town last season before injury forced an early return to Rovers.

I always felt if he got a good run in the side he would have done really well.

He never cut the mustard at Rovers, showed the odd glimpse of something good but that was it.

I bet he was on a decent wage at Rovers as well.
