'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Thanks And Farewell

Today saw another end of an era. Mark Albrighton and Simon Marples, both players who brought Rovers up from the Conference have been released. Also leaving Belle Vue are Richard Offiong, Alun Armstrong and Jermaine McSporran. We also wave farewell to Leo Fortune-West, a great player who helped Rovers win the Third Division Title. Best wishes to all in the future.

Dave Penney has also placed a few players on the transfer list. These are Phil McGuire and Tonny Nielsen, both signed last summer and, Ricky Ravehill. The latter is some what of a surprise, having been only one of a handful of players to have made over 30 appearances for Rovers this season.

Dave Mulligan is still in discussions about a new contract, though has been linked with a couple of other League One sides.
