DRFC Doncaster Rovers v Reading Preview

Doncaster Rovers entertain Reading this weekend in a game being shown live on Sky.

Rovers are in a poor run at the moment having lost their last three games. They was unlucky to go down to promotion chasing Cardiff away last weekend when the host scored the winner in injury time.

Last time out at home they lost 4-1 against Middlesbrough.

The Royals won their first league game in nine last Saturday when they beat Barnsley 1-0 at home.

They are enjoying a good run in the FA Cup and have already knocked out Premiership sides Liverpool and Burnley.

Last time out away they lost 3-0 at Sheffield United.

Recent away form: LLWLDW

Reading have been something of a bogey side to Doncaster over the years. They have met on seventeen occasions at Doncaster with the away side winning nine to Doncaster`s two.

The last time Rovers beat Reading at Doncaster was in the 1982/83 season in a remarkable game. Rovers won 7-5 despite Kerry Dixon scoring four goals for the visitors.

When the two sides met at the Keepmoat for the first time last season the visitors went away with all three points thanks to a late goal from Dave Kitson.

When the two sides met earlier this season at Reading, they played out a poor 0-0 draw.

It would be good if it was another 7-5 game.
