'If It's Football, It's Vital'

DRFC O'Driscoll remaining upbeat despite defeat

Doncaster Rovers boss Sean O`Driscoll was trying to take the positives from his side`s performance after losing for the fourth game in a row.

Rovers went down at home, 2-1 to Reading who are currently filling the final place in the relegation zone.

'We could have done better with the goals but I cannot fault anyone's effort. This league is so tight, you can walk off any game thinking you should have lost when you've won or won when you've lost. We try and maintain that players do the right things and as long as they do that we're happy. Sometimes results are in the lap of the gods, but overall I'm pleased with the way we played.' O`Driscoll said on the Official website.

The win for Reading moves them to within four points of Rovers at the bottom of the table.

The Championship is so tight once again this season, a win would have moved Rovers back into the top half of the table but the defeat sees them looking nervously over their shoulder after a poor run of results.

I'd be getting nervous, not the time to be having a bad run with so many games coming up.

Just having a bit of bad luck in front of goal at the moment. We have some difficult looking games coming up
